Q: What does a "Meet and Greet" consultation entail?
A: I come to your home to meet you and your pet. I will ask you questions about your pet's activity levels, feeding habits, what your pets like and don't like, your home needs (mail, newspaper, plants watered) as well as emergency phone numbers and contacts. At that time we will also fill out a form with all of this information for my reference. I would also need 2 sets of keys(one set is a spare for emergency use in case of a lock-out or any other emergency). The consultation takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

Q: Will Right At Home give my pet medication?
A: I will administer pills to your pet, or apply ear/eye medication and topical ointments. However, I will not administer any injections such as insulin and suggest you board your pet at a veterinary clinic.

Q: How far in advance do I need to make reservations?
A: As far in advance as your plans allow. In order to avoid scheduling conflicts, please try to reserve service at least 7 to10 days in advance. During major holidays(i.e., Xmas, Channukah, New Year's, Thanksgiving) I suggest reserving at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance.

Q: What will my sitter do if my pet becomes ill?
A: Ill animals are always my highest priority. If necessary,
I will take your pet to your vet and if they can not be
reached we'll go to the local emergency pet clinic. My policy
is not to disturb you on your vacation if it can be avoided,
but we will do so in an emergency. This is why itineraries
and phone numbers for your destination as well as any local emergency contacts are required by Right At Home.

Q: How do we get the keys back?
A: Once I receive payment, we can arrange a time for me to drop them off or I can hold on to them for your next trip. Key tags only have your pets name and reference number on them. Never your name or address.

Q: What is considered a "last-minute emergency" visit?
A: This is a visit that is scheduled 24 hours or less in advance. Depending on availability, a service charge may be incurred.
